The pricing operations and analytics team manages pricing decisions for millions of items sold by Amazon worldwide. The pricing operations team is based in our India development center and has complete business and functional ownership.

    Job Description: The Sr. Manager, Pricing Operations role is a critical role focused on expanding Amazon’s leadership position in price competitiveness. This role will primarily be responsible for defining and executing strategies for sharp pricing of Amazon Retail selection WW. Every year, selection addition to the Amazon catalog (Earth’s largest selection) coupled with changing competitive dynamics in the market segment puts the onus on this leader to find scalable and efficient processes to stay competitive. You will partner with the WW business teams to drive the strategy, vision and execution required to scale competitiveness initiatives. As part of the leadership team, you will work on developing the pricing algorithms and strategies and deploy them in a timely, accurate and efficient processes to ensure Amazon’s price competitiveness. You will manage a team of passionate and driven leaders comprising program managers, operations managers, as well as a large operations staff and will regularly interact with Senior Leadership at the director and vice-president level.

    Ideal candidate Profile
    A successful candidate will have an established background in successfully managing critical and complex business processes, excellent communication skills and an ability to deal with a fast paced environment. You must be very comfortable defining, developing and using metrics to drive the strategic vision of the business. The candidate will have a demonstrated record of team building and execution in dynamic environment and be able to lead not only at the strategic level, but also tactically day-to-day by diving deeply into business and technical domains. This requires a person that is very metrics driven, yet has the vision to scale the business. The candidate must have a proven track record of partnering with technology teams and leveraging automation to drive efficiencies in operational processes.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or operations management required.
    • 12+ years of work experience with at least 5 years of people management and at least 3 years of owning a complex and critical business process end to end.

    • Business analysis acumen, with substantive experience measuring the success of a complex business process and managing senior stakeholders
    • Passion for zero-surprise operations with experience in establishing, measuring, and meeting service level agreements, improving the availability, performance, and quality of systems, and managing complex on-the-fly operational concerns.
    • Demonstrated ability to hire and develop strong leaders and building a high performance team
    • Outstanding attention to detail; Exceptional problem solving & analytical skills
    • Ability to work effectively & independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

    Preferred Qualifications

    A track record of communicating worldwide with executives and non-technical leaders, Experience with multi-national companies, dealing with customers across the world.

    MBA from Top tier schools and six sigma certification is preferred.
