    The AWS Database and Analytics Services group is responsible for defining and delivering highly innovative, scalable and reliable services for storing and analyzing data, to meet the needs of customers across a wide array of segments including IoT, Finance, Mobile, Health-care, Gaming, Bio-tech, Social media, and Telecommunications. Today, the team delivers multiple services such as Amazon RDS, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Elasticsearch Service, Amazon ElastiCache, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon Elastic Map Reduce. Despite the compelling growth, we believe that both AWS and the Database and Analytics Services business are in their infancy, and always strive to push the envelope to deliver impactful solutions to our customers.

    We are looking for a seasoned technical product leader who possess a good mix of technical and business skills to drive product strategy and roadmap for our services focused on analytics and search. In this role, you will need to draw from your deep and broad technical and product management experience to complete hands-on technical work and provide leadership on complex product and business issues. You will drive large-sale projects and design new products at the cutting edge of distributed database technology, and have a significant bottom-line impact on our business and competitive position. You will create and execute product plans, defining new features, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies, to grow the AWS business globally. You will have the opportunity to dive deep into leading technologies, and interact with developers, architects, CTOs and CIOs from various companies.

    This is a highly visible role where you will have to interact with senior management within AWS.     Basic Qualifications

    · Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
    · At least 10 years of product management experience with demonstrated success in shipping industry defining services

    Preferred Qualifications

    · Bachelors or Masters in computer science or related discipline, with an MBA
    · At least 10 years of product management experience with demonstrated success in shipping industry-defining technical products/services
    · Experience with analytics, databases, or large-scale distributed systems
    · Track record of innovation with customer and quality focus
    · Passion for cloud services and the large opportunity that AWS presents
    · Willingness to dive deep into the technical areas, and commitment to learning and expanding technical knowledge
    · Superior communication and analytical skills, including strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems, and work well with cross functional teams
    · High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
    · General manager/owner mentality, entrepreneurial drive, and proven ability to influence others
