The Amazon Music Search organization is responsible for voice search for Amazon Music on Alexa and text search on Music’s visual clients. Music Search Quality and Tools team (SQT) is responsible for evaluating voice search quality on Echo devices powered by Alexa and text search quality spanning across Amazon Music apps & web player through information retrieval systems and building ingenious tools for such evaluations. About You You're a software engineer looking for a career in information retrieval systems. You want to work on projects that require innovative and creative thinking, deep technical problem solving, and the opportunity to grow, lead and mentor other engineers. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures and algorithm, systems and networking
4+ years of software development experience using Java or C++
Ability to code in object-oriented paradigm
Specialized degree in information retrieval highly desirable. Focus on evaluations of such systems will have added advantage.
Experience with AWS services like Redshift, Glue, Athena, Data Pipelines.
Experience with search technologies like Lucene, Solr or Elasticsearch.
Experience with developing ETL pipelines using Spark.
Experience in big data ecosystem like SQL, Hive, Pig, etc and workflow management looks like Luigi, Airflow.
