Job Description

Amazon Kindle content team is looking for a senior program manager to drive the content pipeline and beta testing (app and web application) within the Kindle content business. The ideal candidate has solid business judgment, along with strong technical background and experience in successfully launching new software products. This role requires an individual with a passion for consumers, and a willingness to move fast & experiment often.

The right candidate will be adept at writing program specifications, owning program schedules from design to release, and partnering effectively with other teams within Amazon and relevant external stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
· 6+ years of work experience in program management, developing and delivering consumer facing software products
· Extensive experience in user experience research and beta testing of software products
Experience communicating with stakeholders across multiple business units and senior management

Preferred Qualifications

· MBA
· Ability to operate in a fast paced environment with high level of operational excellence.
· Ability to operate with high level of independence. Proactively define and prioritize work scope and deliverables balancing the short and long term objectives of the program.
· Ability to dive deep and think through multiple potential outcomes/possibilities to define program requirements.
· Ability to write crisp, clearly articulated and logically supported recommendations to senior management with minimal supervision
· Good interpersonal and collaboration skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
