Job Description

AWS Training and Certification is seeking a talented, self-directed, and experienced marketing manager to develop and manage marketing programs to drive awareness and adoption of training and certification programs for India.

In this role, you will build, manage, and execute the marketing strategy for the India training business. You will understand the training business priorities, and develop and execute the marketing plan with precision. You will work with global Training and Certification Marketing and Field Marketing teams to deliver marketing programs, campaigns, and events that drive awareness and generate leads for Training and Certification in your market. You will also be responsible for managing internal and external communications, including messaging, campaigns, webinars, newsletters, blogs, social media, and collateral. This role requires the ability to analyze messaging and campaign effectiveness, modify programs based on conclusions, and clearly articulate results to stakeholders. You will take a test and learn approach to your daily work, regularly experiment with new channels and campaign approaches, and optimize ongoing programs through content, reporting, and deep analysis. The ideal candidate must have superior communication skills, strong attention to detail, a collaborative work style, and an unparalleled work ethic. The right candidate is extremely data-driven and comfortable with planning and executing on various stages of marketing programs; demonstrated experience working effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure entrepreneurial environment with a strong desire to roll up your sleeves; and proven experience managing priorities and working effectively across a number of internal stakeholders.


Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of India’s training business and act as primarily marketing contact, including regular participation in team calls, in-person meetings, and planning sessions
  • Create and deliver multi-faceted marketing programs, including online marketing campaigns, webinars, and communications
  • Own the strategy, development, and execution of marketing programs that help acquire new customers, retain and grow existing customers, and deliver growth across key customer segments
  • Create strategic and measureable campaign plans by working with global Training and Certification Marketing and Field Marketing teams, including goals, messaging, call to action, and distribution channels
  • Support creation and execution of email campaigns, including managing email requests, builds, and scheduling
  • Use data and testing to optimize and improve content and targeting for training and certification campaigns
  • Forecast, track, and report marketing program and campaign effectiveness metrics as well as overall ROI to internal stakeholders. Plus, continually monitor, analyze and tune marketing activities to maximize conversion

  • Work with the central AWS media, email marketing, marketing automation, global campaigns teams to stay up-to-day on all new tools, understand best practices, leverage the learnings and economies of scale
  • Earn trust and drive interlock and alignment with global Training and Certification Marketing and Field marketing teams to support their goals, increase engagement with marketing, and drive program support
  • Manage multiple priorities as an independent, self-starter with excellent time management within a rapidly evolving business

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ professional experience in marketing programs, events, marketing communications, field/partner marketing, preferably in high-technology
  • Demonstrated track record in developing awesome marketing assets (e.g., campaigns, emails, blogs, etc.)
  • Ability to create innovative and targeted marketing programs that generate results in this highly specialized business
  • Proven success in managing complex and multi-faceted marketing programs with the ability to drive projects through completion
  • Experience working with industry tools and analytics packages including email, social, web analytics, CRM, business intelligence and marketing automation platforms
  • Experience building test and learn plans that continuously improve program engagement and effectiveness
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or relevant field of study

Preferred Qualifications

· A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and proven success delivering measurable marketing results
  • Experience in a business-to-business (B2B) environment; IT/technology marketing experience preferred
  • Ability to easily transition from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
  • Ability to manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high quality deliverables
  • Excellent communicator who can articulate program recommendations and tradeoffs to senior executives
  • Proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record of staying on budget
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization
  • MBA Degree
