The Senior TPM role requires excellent leadership skills, strong technical expertise, and hands-on project management skills. The right candidate will be adept at writing technical specifications, owning program schedules from design to release, partnering effectively with other teams within and outside of Amazon, and managing launches. This candidate will have the opportunity to impact Amazon employees worldwide by working with development teams across Amazon globally. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable digging into business requirements and product planning as well as drilling into technical architecture and design.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Understand the processes to define, design, and deliver business software solutions based on a variety of HR and Payroll applications.

  • Experience in systems design, development, and support.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop product requirements.

  • Collaborate with technical and design teams to define and design the product with the best customer experience.

  • Drive the implementation and delivery of products.

  • Clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams.

  • Support and enhance existing products with thoughtful and measurable impact.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant program management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in HR, Payroll, or Time and Attendance system design, development, and support.

  • Experience in defining and prioritizing identifiable work items

  • Ability to propose improvements towards technical and overall business processes.

  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.

  • Ability to apply best practices to the software development lifecycle.

  • Strong communication skills with diverse customers and audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Domain expertise in HR, Payroll, or Time & Attendance. International experience is a significant plus.

  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Ruby in a technical capacity.

  • Strong system integration experience.
