Sr. Marketing Manager - Amazon Devices

Amazon Devices is seeking a hands-on and customer-obsessed seasoned marketing professional for defining and delivering the customer engagement strategy for Amazon Devices. As the owner of customer engagement, the Senior Marketing Manager will work closely with global and local marketing and product development teams to craft online and offline channel programs that educate and engage our customers. The Senior Marketing Manager will own key marketing engagement metrics and will be responsible for uncovering customer insights that will help us understand and engage our customers better. He/she needs to think like an analytical marketer and at the same time, should also be able to write effectively, to connect with our customers on the topics they care about. An ideal candidate would be deeply passionate about understanding customer needs, motivations, behaviors and would have a track record of conceptualizing and delivering creative marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with multiple business groups and functional areas to deliver high impact creative programs/projects. Own creation and execution of integrated marketing and communications plans across multiple channels (e.g., email, website, social and offline) for an Amazon device category.
  • Be the voice of customer - Own collection and reporting of customer insights to fellow team members and leadership. Ensure that customer insights get incorporated in the short term and long term product roadmaps
  • Own the analysis and reporting of key engagement initiatives and associated metrics to senior leadership.
  • Identify best practices and author playbooks to drive a best-in-class experience across all touch points with a customer.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in e-commerce, online merchandising and consumer marketing/sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; Masters Degree preferred.
  • Significant experience in successfully taking ownership and delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment
  • Demonstrable relevant professional experience in customer relationship marketing, including experience in the areas of email, social, viral and buzz marketing.
  • Strong leader with excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with and influence all levels across Amazon.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
  • A demonstrated history of success in data intensive quantitative analysis and recommendations. Ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and concepts.
  • Be comfortable in getting hands dirty to get things done
  • High attention to detail including precise and effective communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to leverage insights (qual and quant) to design and implement innovative engagement programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in a related field.
  • High-technology consumer product marketing experience.
