Job Description

India Learning & Development works with the Business and HR teams in India and offers learning and talent development programs that support cultural assimilation, change management and development of our leaders. Our aim is to offer programs, platforms and resources that enable businesses to accelerate talent development and inspire employees to learn and be curious.

This is an L&D leadership position supporting one of our key businesses. The role requires engaging with leaders and managers across India Consumer Business to understand business groups, business needs and leadership development challenges. The role incumbent will design and implement training plans for managers, associates and others in conjunction with the HR Business Partners. Here is a summary (not exhaustive) of some of the areas -

  • Create and deliver an L&D roadmap for the business that helps the business scale and grow.
  • Influence L&D outcomes by understanding leadership development and assimilation needs and iterate on ideas and programs.
  • Design and deliver organization development and learning interventions that help solve business challenges
  • Enable solutions that scale and drive the highest organizational leverage
  • Own and Facilitate programs for both junior and senior audiences
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in the area of Learning and Development.
  • Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of development activities in relation to business goals on an ongoing basis.
  • Move forward in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge, innovating with bold bets to drive business growth.
  • Align your work with Amazon’s business objectives and seek to deliver business value.
  • Utilize recent industry experience to make appropriate operational decisions for your team. Innovate within your team or program area.
  • Partner with peer managers to address cross-functional issues.
  • Deliver projects across business groups and centres. You may participate in cross-company initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

· At the least 7+ years' experience in Learning and Development. Atleast 3 years leading a mature L&D team in a global organization with high volumes and fast paced environment.
· Excellent organization and project management skills - this will require aggressive planning, organizing and coordinating, negotiating, establishing effective cross-team relationships, prioritization, and delivery against objectives.
· Should be passionate about developing others, and in creating development frameworks that scale. This role requires content development and facilitation expertise.
· Adept at understanding customer needs and facilitating discussions with various stakeholders.
· Strong project management experience on large scale projects. Lean/ kaizen/ six sigma or similar certifications strongly preferred.
· Technology savvy with ability to interact with external vendors on technical aspects of solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with using, administering and facilitating survey instruments and assessment tools (eg: FIRO-B, MBTI, PDI etc)
