Position: Senior Manager, India Learning & Development

Job Description:
The role of Senior Manager, India Learning & Development spans across all of India Operations team. The role-holder will lead a team of Learning & Development professionals based across several locations in the country and be a part of the India HR Leadership team that reports to the Director HR Leader - India. The ideal candidate requires strong team leadership experience in Human Resources and should have managed L&D function in a multinational company with fast paced customer driven environment as the role will:
  • Lead and manage the L&D team
  • Be responsible for the L&D function and its productivity towards meeting the business’ needs
  • Ensure that L&D charter is aligned to meet business needs across different business groups and is also aligned with Amazon global learning charter
  • Act as a proactive and productive liaison/partner within India and US Corporate Learning Department
  • Foster and develop the growth of employees
  • In conjunction with the HR Business Partners, create and implement training plans for managers, learning and development Associates and others (i.e. participating in and conducting needs analysis, skills development classes, cross-training, etc.)
  • In conjunction with HR, facilitate orientation of permanent and temporary employees, communicate policies and procedures to managers and new employees as needed
  • Manage learning resources including budget, headcount, equipment and materials
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training activities in relation to business goals.

Basic Qualifications

· Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor / Master degree in related field
· 10-15 years of experience in Training and Development function
· Experience in leading / managing L&D function in a multinational company
· Able to engage and manage stakeholders across several business functions
· Highly developed leadership ability
· Excellent project management and planning skills
· Experience in carrying out all activities in the Training Cycle: Design, Delivery, Evaluation
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Comfortable in the delivery of training solutions
· Able to give and receive feedback effectively
· Experience using computers to develop materials, presentations and use of email and knowledge of internet/intranet
· Result orientated
· Ability to provide professional development for the L&D Team and Managers

Preferred Qualifications

Other Qualifications:
· 10-15 Years of overall experience working in global organizations and in adult learning theory/course facilitation
· Management Development
· Degree qualified
· Should have led functional training in Sales/ Insurance/ Pharma/ Financial services.
· Should have experience in designing and conducting OD (organization development) interventions independently.
· Should have proven expertise in designing behavioral training programs and conducting the same for front line and middle level managers.
· Should have the ability to quantitatively measure the impact of training interventions on business parameters.
· Should be proficient in adult learning theories and have demonstrated ability in application of the same
